Pursuing strength has always been a love and passion of mine for as far back as I can remember. I’ve always wanted to lift weights ever since I was a little kid. I remember my parents buying me a toy weight set with plastic weights filled with sand and I would “lift” with those in our basement. I went on to play several sports throughout High School but my passion always came back to the weight room. Around the age of 17, I found out that I could lift weights as a sport through Powerlifting, and I was hooked.
I started off as a 130lb kid who couldn’t even bench press 135lbs. I started training constantly, reading articles, and attending seminars. I competed in my first meet in 2014 where I hit my first raw total of 1195 in the 198lb Junior Division. I have since gone on to compete in several meets since then, with my best lifts in competition being a 480lb squat, 305lb bench, and a 545lb deadlift in the 198lb class. My training tapered off while I went to the Police Academy, and I now work as a Police Officer in Michigan on a local level. I’m currently 23 years old, and continue to train and compete with the same goal in mind that I’ve had throughout my life, to be the strongest I can possibly become.
