Employment: City of Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee, WI since 1997
Rank: Sergeant since 2005
Work history: I was hired with the Milwaukee Police Department June 16, 1997 as a Police Aide at the age of 19. I was promoted to Police officer, February 21, 2000 and assigned to the 5th District. On July 17, 2005, I was promoted to Sergeant and worked out of the 7th District. In October 2008 I was reassigned to the Tactical Enforcement Unit (SWAT) where I worked as a team Leader and trainer until February 14, 2016. I am currently assigned to the Sensitive Crimes Division.
Personal history: I am married to another Police Officer from the City of Brookfield. We have been married just one year. We have two beautiful and active daughters. They are 12 and 10 and keep us busy with all of their sports!!!
CrossFit History: I started CrossFit about 4 years ago, and I wish I would have discovered this sooner. It quickly became a passion for me. I am a smidge competitive so this fit me great! I enjoy competing in competitions solo or with my husband. I had the honor of competing in the Granite Games in MN in 2014 for our team (CrossFit Muskego- Warrior Barbell). It was an amazing weekend and hope to be back next year. I not only enjoy CrossFit for the strength it gives me, but for the stress reliever if provides. Being on SWAT for almost 8 years, I had to prove to the boys I could do the same job they did. I LOVED beating them!!! Now, being at Sensitive Crimes it gives me the stress relief I need given some of the cases we see. Some of my PR’s if you’re intrested : C & J: 175, Back Squat: 225, Front Squat: 190, DL: 275, Snatch: 135 (all are pounds, not Kg).
