Formerly a high school and middle school teacher, Lindsey Adams now works as a certified personal trainer at Powerhouse Gym. As a high school athlete, she learned from her dad and brother and began incorporating weight lifting into her routine.
She continued to lift moderately throughout her college years. She got into a more serious training schedule in late 2014, then began bodybuilding-style lifting in 2015.
Wanting to truly test her strength, she started powerlifting in June 2016 and competed in her first meet at the APF Fall Open in Grand Rapids on October 8, 2016.
She tied the state squat record of 286.5lbs, benched 148.5lbs, and tied the state deadlift record of 319.5lbs. She also broke the state record with a lift total of 754.5lbs
